Wood Turners
Coordinator: Kent Kellegrew
4/3/2024, 11:00 a.m. Meet at Camp Pollock: 1501 Northgate Blvd. Sacramento
Our purpose is to collect Chinese Hackberry recently felled on the property of the Sacramento Valley Conservancy ("SVC"). SVC manages 90,000 acres of undeveloped land. We will meet up with my son, Eric Kellegrew, at the entrance to Camp Pollack at 11:00. He will lead us to the felled tree(s).
GCWT club members are welcome to stay as long or as short a period as you like. We will be working at least over the noon hour and you should bring your own sack lunch and water as there are no restaurants nearby.
You may want to bring a chainsaw, gloves and safety equipment. Since it may rain, consider wearing boots, jacket, hat, etc. If you drive a truck, you'll be able to keep as much wood as you'd like and donate the rest to the club.
Will you please call or email Kent Kellegrew and let me know if you plan to attend? It will be helpful to know in advance how many members will be participating. <kentkellegrew@gmail.com> Kent's Cell 805.340.6174
