New Members: A great opportunity to turn, get coaching from experienced members, practice and get new ideas and tips. Turning with a group will definitely increase your skill level and it is also a lot of fun. Four lathes, turning tools and extra wood available for your use if you can not bring your own.
Empty Bowls: Take this opportunity to turn 6 - 9 inch bowls for the Empty Bowls charity.
Not comfortable turning in public? We need "greeters" for each session to interface with the public to explain our craft and our club.
Club members will be demonstrating for all 5 days of the County Fair from Wednesday Aug. 11 thru Sunday Aug. 15. There will be 2 sessions per day: 10 - 2, and 2 - 6.
Participants normally receive a free ticket ( and parking pass ) for the day(s) they "perform".
The County Fair is also a place where we get to interface with people who may be interested in our craft and would like to pursue it further.
