The French Apple Box is a signature design of French wood sculptor Benoit Avery. It is a end grain box with a lid and finial turned from a single piece of wood. It can be turned exclusively employing a skew chisel, or a combination of tools as spindle gouge, bowl gouge and scraper. It does require making a jam chuck to complete it. It’s an intermediate class woodturning project.

Monthly meetings include a display of members turned items and a raffle. Guest and members of the public are always welcome.
