Beads of Courage Boxes

Children facing serious medical procedures  are give a string of beads that spell out their name.  For each major medical procedure (e.g. Chemo) they face they are given a “Bead of Courage”.   The children need boxes to hold their beads, thats were wood turners come in, we make boxes.   More information at beadsofcourage.org.  B of C also collaborates with the AAW and guidelines for turned boxes can be found here:  

Learn how to make a Beads of Courage Box using a decorated piece of PVC pipe and turned tops and bottoms.  Materials for the boxes will be available at the meeting.  

Monthly meetings include a display of members turned items and a raffle.  Guest and members of the public are always welcome.
