Sharpening Workshop for Beginning Sharpeners

Jerry will lead the hands-on class teaching the basics of sharpening and setting up your sharpening station. There will be 6 sharpening stations, each with 2 students and an experienced coach. Class size is limited to 12 students.
This class is for those still learning sharpening, those who want to tune up their sharpening skills and those who want to know how to shape a bowl gouge.

We will teach one “ middle of the road” sharpening method and one set of tool shapes. Club tools will be used to practice sharpening. No personal tools please, except you may bring your new or old bowl gouge to reshape.
Learn what it takes to shape and maintain basic turning tools using a grinder and the Oneway/Wolverine sharpening system.
