Monthly Meeting Turning Pens by Jim Cochrun

Club member Jim Cochrun  will demonstrate Turning Pens.  Jim will be doing both wood and acrylic pens.  He will take you through the steps from cutting and drilling the blank, to turning, sanding, finishing, and assembling the pen.  Some steps will be talked about and not demonstrated, such as the actual cutting of the blank.  Jim will be using an Easy Wood carbide tool for the demo.  Bring your questions and any suggestions you might have.  Jim has changed his pen making technique over the years based on ideas and suggestions from other turners.  We all help each other get better at turning.

Monthly meetings include a display of members turned items and a raffle.  Guest and members of the public are always welcome. 

A reminder:  The Elks Club serves a single entree meal for under $12 starting at 5:00.  They also have a full service bar.
